The event was organised by the PSWMRC in collaboration with the Amin Maktab School at school grounds.
Students presented a qawali and through a tableau highlighted the problems of special needs children regarding their admissions to mainstream schools.
They showed that they could study with normal children and learn everyday life activities in natural environment.
Their performance showed that they could improve themselves if they got admission to schools for normal children and normal children would also be sensitized about them.
Special needs children also made sketches to support Kashmiri children who have not able to attend schools for the last four months due to Indian forces’ brutalities.
Wearing colorful dresses, children exhibited the culture of provinces during a performance on a national song. Their performance captivated the hearts of participants who lauded their skills with a huge round of applause.
Ms. Tahira Shahid said challenged children should be given special attention so that they could live independently.
Mr Mahmood said state and society should come forward to provide all basics necessities to special children and they should be admitted in general schools.
Later, certificates were distributed among the children who performed in the event.
