Aamer Raza A. Khan

Justice (Retd.) Aamer Raza A. Khan devoted fifty-seven years worth of his time, thought and energy in service of PSWMRC, first, as a member and, subsequently, as President for a period spanning over four decades with unquestionable fidelity. His leadership facilitated the Society in achieving new heights and become the foremost organization for the welfare of mentally handicapped children. While the era of our leader has concluded, his services will be remembered for times to come and the members of the PSWMRC wholeheartedly intend to serve humanity with absolute commitment as would Justice (Retd.) Aamer Raza A. Khan have done.

Treasurer

Mr. Pervaiz Anwar Sheikh

Mr. Pervaiz Anwar Sheikh served the Society for over 18 years. He was a member for 11 years and subsequently became treasurer of the Society for 7 years. He was, undisputedly, an asset for the society and his unwavering commitment to societal work and endeavors shall never be forgotten.

Psychiatrist

Dr. Surraya Yasmeen Shah

Dr. Surraya Yasmeen Shah joined the Society as a visiting psychiatrist whose dedication led the Executive Body of the Society to appoint her the Director of the Amin Maktab School in 1993. On the one hand, she played a critical part in team building and social interaction of the organization, and on the other, her love, affection and efforts towards the psychiatric care of handicapped children were vital to the proper running of Amin Maktab. The years she invested have been marked by unsurpassed efficiency and excellence and her memory remains an inspiration to us all.

CONDOLENCES

In the year 2020-21, the Pakistan Society for the Welfare of Mentally Retarded Children (PSWMRC) suffered tremendous loss including the demise of Justice (Retd.) Aamer Raza A. Khan, a founder member and President of the Society, and Dr. Surraya Yasmeen Shah, the Former Director of the Society. They served the Society with utmost commitment and dedication.

May Allah grant them the highest abode in Jannat-ul-Firdous and strengthen the bereaved families to bear this loss, Ameen.
