Athletics is one of largest sport in the School Games and provides all year-round competition formats, including Sportshall Athletics and Cross Country in the winter, to Short form and traditional athletics competitions in the summer. From Intra and inter school to county, national and virtual competitions. Athletics competitions and sessions can be delivered with limited equipment.
England Athletics is the National Governing Body of Sport for Athletics and Running, from grass roots athletics to elite level sport. Through athletics (running, jumping, and throwing), we believe children can develop the skills necessary to enjoy a lifelong love of sport. The skills of running, jumping and throwing are essential in almost every sport.
