They have qualified and trained professional staff and apart from providing services to children enrolled in Amin Maktab, and ORP, IEP and CBR, these facilities have now also been made available to special children from outside our Institution. Our children regularly participate in the Punjab, Pakistan and World Special Olympics.
Challenged children referred from ORP and CBR are given admission at Amin Maktab. Some children get direct admission in Vocational Units as well as shifted from other Schools. The minimum age for admission is 5 and maximum is 10 years. Prior to admission, they are kept under observation, as regards their behavior, compliance, concentration, attention span, comprehension and learning ability.
Psychologists School
They are assessed by School Psychologists in terms of their IQ/Mental Age, functional level, potential, strengths and weaknesses. After Assessment and admission the Psychologists formulate the child’s Individual Educational Plan (IEP) and place it in an appropriate Class Group.
Chief Minister, Mian Shahbaz Sharif acknowledged the concept of Inclusive Education and directed the Government to introduce the system in Government and PEF Schools, and a start was made, the only approach which can provide services to a larger number of our challenged children nearer their homes.
